Culliper Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 October 2026
Culliper is a macOS app made by Toolblazer (Daniel Imamura, Auckland, New Zealand). This policy explains what Culliper does with your information. The short version: it collects nothing.
What Culliper does with your photographs
Culliper reads the folders you open and analyses the photographs on your Mac, using Apple’s built-in image analysis and two analysis models included in the app. Your photographs, ratings and decisions never leave your Mac. The app has no permission to use the network, and macOS enforces that restriction.
What is stored, and where
Everything Culliper saves stays in your own user account on your Mac:
- Sessions, ratings and organisation history are kept in a database inside the app’s sandbox
container (
~/Library/Containers/com.toolblazer.Culliper/). - Thumbnails and previews are cached in the same container so folders open quickly. Removing a session never deletes photographs.
- Settings such as appearance and window layout are stored with the app’s preferences.
- A usage summary is stored with the app’s preferences too (see below).
Deleting the app’s container (or using “Remove session” inside the app) removes this data. Your photographs are yours and are only ever moved into folders you confirmed, inside the folder you opened.
Usage summary
Culliper counts which features you use and where things go wrong: for example, how often you open the organisation plan, cancel it, or see an error message, and the size of folders you import as a rough band (for example “under 500 files”). It keeps only counts, the date counting began, the Culliper and macOS versions, and a few of your settings, such as appearance and which built-in Photo Profile new folders use. It never records photographs, file or folder names, profile names or the text of error messages.
The summary stays on your Mac, and Culliper never sends it. You can read it, copy it or reset it in Settings → Usage. If you choose Email to Support… there, or Help → Send Feedback…, Culliper opens a new message in your own mail app with the summary below your text. You can edit or delete it, and nothing is sent unless you send that message yourself. An email you send us is used only to answer you and to improve Culliper.
Place names
Culliper can show where a photograph was taken using a list of place names that ships inside the app. Coordinates are matched on your Mac. “Show in Maps” opens Apple Maps only when you click it, and Apple’s privacy policy then applies.
Purchases
The free trial and Culliper Unlock are sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and tells the app only whether you own a product. Toolblazer does not receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple’s privacy policy covers the App Store: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Analytics, tracking and third parties
Culliper contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking code, and sends nothing to Toolblazer or anyone else. The usage summary above never leaves your Mac unless you email it yourself. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple in System Settings, Apple handles that under its own policy.
The website
culliper.app is a static website. Its hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs (such as IP
address and the page requested) for security and operation. The site sets no cookies for tracking.
Children
Culliper is a general-purpose tool rated 4+. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date. Because Culliper cannot contact you, check this page if you want to know about changes.
